Marmara University Center for Regional Development has been established to provide an institutional infrastructure for the achievement of the objectives of the five-year R&D Strategy Document prepared for the regional development areas of Marmara University.
The activities of the Center include theoretical and applied research in the field of regional development and the preparation of projects related to these issues. The research activities of the Center aim to contribute to the production of knowledge for the development of policies that will increase economic growth and reduce regional disparities. In addition, the Center aims to create joint working areas and activities with industry, universities, public and non-governmental organisations and other research institutions on growth and regional development issues. Joint projects and activities developed by the Center on its own and with other institutions are open to the participation of researchers and experts from Türkiye and abroad.
